“Author Claude Regis Vargo has written a one of a kind book. It doesn’t fit neatly into your standard book genre’s as it takes the reader on an inspiring, informative and entertaining journey. In his book “Beyond My Horizon: An Educational Odyssey & Combat Memoir” he takes us on an inspirational journey. We see how he has survived so much in his life – including a war. His book is not just some self-centered story that looks at his personal life but it blossoms into a self-help road map that readers can follow dealing with higher education, PTSD and even on how to handle college debt.
The author reminds us that if he did it then you can too – and he really means that. He challenges his readers to improve their lives. The book is heavy with self mocking and making fun of his own short comings with education. His late life wake-up call to get an education is certainly inspiring.
